How to host a key party
The key party is the signature. You invite the people you already want in the room. They swipe in private. Then Round 1 opens on one Play Partner.
Watch the signature night
Start with the room you know
A key party is hotter when the guest list is yours. Send each couple one private link. An open party can include singles. Straight, bi-friendly, and open rooms are all in the app.
There is no public guest pool. Nobody joins by scrolling strangers. Adult only. Private by design.
Write the rules in your voice
House rules are yours, one line at a time. Guests agree before they swipe. If you edit the rules, they agree to the new version.
Say what the night is, and what it is not. The app does not invent a speech for you.
Let them swipe before they arrive
Each card is one person: one photo and one name. Your own partner is never a card. Yes or no stays on that phone. A no is never shown as a no.
Set a swipe deadline before the party starts. Guests can change an answer until swipes lock.
Open the door, then the room
Check-in opens on party day, after swipes lock. Each guest has a door code and a QR pass. You start the reveal yourself.
Round 1 shows one Play Partner. That match is a mutual yes. The room finds out together. That is the signature.
Rehearse before you invite anyone
A test party lets you walk the night as any guest, including either partner. Test parties do not send email, push, or reminders.
When the real list is ready, the host app is where the invites, the rules, and the door live.
FAQ
Do guests swipe couples or people?
People. A Key Party card is one person. Couple cards, with both names and one couple photo, are for Speed Date.
What does Round 1 reveal?
One Play Partner. One photo and one name. A one-sided yes does not become a match.
Can I practice the night first?
Yes. Open a test party and play as a guest before you send a single invite.
