How a modern key party works
The signature night, without the fishbowl. Individual cards, a group chat, check-in, and one Play Partner in Round 1. Start at the key party page or the homepage.
The short version
A modern key party is still the thrill of not knowing until the room finds out together. Pineapple Play Date just takes the fishbowl off the coffee table.
Guests swipe people before the night. They chat. They check in. Then Round 1 reveals one Play Partner. Mutual yes only.
The cards are individual. One photo. One name. Your own partner is not someone you swipe.
Who it is for
Swingers, lifestyle couples, and the hosts and clubs who invite them. Adult only. Private by design.
You do not browse a public pool of strangers. A host builds the room and sends each couple a private link. An open party can include singles. Straight and bi-friendly rooms are supported.
If you want the signature night, this is it. Play Party and Speed Date live in the same app, with different rhythms.
Swipe people, one card at a time
The deck is people, not pairs. Each card shows one photo and one name, with age when the profile already has it. Yes and no are on the card. The answer is saved for that person.
You never see your own partner as a card. You are not voting on your own couple.
Swipes stay secret until the reveal. You can change a yes or a no until the deadline. A no is not announced, and it is not shown back to that person as a no.
Chat before you walk in
Once you accept the invite, the group chat is open. Use it before the party, and before check-in. Icebreakers can post on their own if the host leaves them on.
It is one room, not a stack of private threads. The host can close chat, mute someone, or let messages expire. The real party name stays inside the app.
Check in, or quietly sit it out
On the night, each guest has a code and a QR pass. The host scans it or types it. Check-in is how you say you are actually there.
Not checking in is a full answer. No speech required. If both partners needed to finish and one did not, that couple is not in the reveal.
Round 1 is one Play Partner
This is the moment the room came for. The host starts the reveal. A short countdown, then one match.
You see one person: one photo and one name. The line on the card is mutual yes. If you both sent a super yes, the card can say so. You do not get a wall of every mutual in the room.
A later round, if the host set more than one, is still one Play Partner at a time. The first reveal is Round 1.
Mutual yes only
A match needs a yes in both directions. One person's yes is not enough, and it is not displayed as a hint.
That is the whole product rule. Nobody is paired with someone who did not say yes.
Play Party, when you want every mutual
A Play Party uses the same individual cards. One photo. One name. There is no Round 1 for the whole room, and no host pairing.
When a guest checks in, they see their mutual matches. A one-sided yes stays hidden. Chat is already open before that check-in.
Same privacy. Different ending. The key party keeps the shared reveal.
See the play party page.
Speed Date, when the card is the couple
Speed Date is the couple format. You meet at a table, then say yes or no. The card shows both names and one couple photo that represents the two of you.
Either partner can add or replace that couple photo. A match still needs the yeses the night asks for, including both partners when two couples meet. A no is never shown.
You do not get key party rounds. You get the clock, the tables, and a reveal of your mutual matches after the rounds.
See the speed date page.
Private on purpose
Email, reminders, and calendar titles do not use the real party name. With no public-safe name, they say Your event.
Your data is not sold. Hosts control the guest list, the house rules, check-in, and whether chat stays open. Guests confirm they are 18 or older before they swipe. The host confirms age offline too.
Host it, or join with an invite
Hosts open a party, pick Key Party, and invite the room. A test party lets you walk the guest app, including either partner, without sending email.
Guests join from the private link. There is no public signup list to browse.
