Pineapple Play Date

Adult only. Private by design.

Key party, play party, or speed date

A dressed couple at a small table in a private room, warm candlelight, talking before the night.

Your host invites friends to one night, not three. Pick a key party, a play party, or a speed date before anyone packs. All mutual-yes matches are revealed.

The short answer

These are three different nights that share one rule. The host invites friends they'd love to have there. One private link per couple. The street stays hidden until the host sends it. All mutual-yes matches are revealed. What changes is when that happens, and how many names you see.

A key party is one shared reveal. A play party opens matches at check-in, and a guest can have more than one. A speed date is short rounds, then yes or no, and the card is the couple. If the invite does not name one of those, ask before you pack. A vague night is how people bring the wrong expectations.

Adult only. Private by design. You confirm you are 18 or older. The host still checks you in. You will not see your own partner as someone to pick on a key party or a play party. On a speed date you answer other couples together. Pick the night that matches the list you actually have.

The three nights, in one list

Read this before you write the invite, and before you accept one. The format is the promise. The city, the hotel, and the playlist are not.

  1. Key party. Before the party, each person privately picks who they would like to play with. You will not see your own partner as someone to pick. At the party, every match where you both said yes is revealed at the same time. You see one Play Partner: one photo and one name. No one is paired with someone they did not pick.
  2. Play party. You still say yes or no in private. Mutual matches are revealed when the host checks that guest in. There is no room-wide Round 1.
  3. Speed date. You meet each couple for about five minutes. As a couple you say yes or no. Either partner can answer, and either can change it until the host starts the next round. A match needs both couples to say yes.

Choose a key party when the room can look up together

A key party wants a short list and a moment everyone shares. Before the party, each person privately picks who they would like to play with. At the party, every match where you both said yes is revealed at the same time. You see one Play Partner: one photo and one name. No one is paired with someone they did not pick.

Pick this night when the people already trust the host, and when you want one name, not a tour of the house. It is a poor fit if the list is still growing the afternoon of the party, or if guests have never met and need to sit down first. The reveal is the point. A bar cannot hold it. A living room or a suite you control can.

If both of you sent a super yes, the card can say so. That is extra heat on a yes that already went both ways. It is not a second person, and it is not a different rule. The host guide for a key party is the longer setup. This page is only the choice.

How to host a key party

Choose a play party when people should move through the house

A play party is still a private invited room. You say yes or no in private before the night. There is no room-wide Round 1. Mutual matches are revealed when the host checks that guest in. All mutual-yes matches are revealed then, for that guest. You can have more than one.

Pick this night when the list already knows how to share a house, and when you want roaming more than a single gasp. It is a poor fit if you wanted every phone to light up at the same second. That is the key party. It is also a poor fit if the guests are strangers who need a clock and a chair. That is the speed date.

House rules still come first. Dress, phones, which rooms are closed, soft or full. Guests agree before they swipe. A match is the floor, not a command. Anyone can slow down after a name appears. The etiquette page is the longer note for the room. Use it once you have chosen this night.

How to host a play party

Choose a speed date when people should sit before they answer

A speed date is tables, a clock, and an answer after you have met. You sit with each couple for about five minutes. The card is both names and one photo. As a couple you say yes or no. Either partner can answer, and either can change it until the host starts the next round. A match needs both couples to say yes.

Pick this night when the list does not know each other well, or when a first party should stay in chairs for the first hour. All mutual-yes matches are revealed when the host ends the rounds. You see the couples where the yes went both ways. It is a poor fit if you already wanted people undressed and roaming before they had sat down. Say that, and host a play party instead.

The rooms can be couples, singles, couples seeking a woman, or couples seeking a man. The host names that in the invite. The yes is still private, and it still needs both sides. The speed dating guide is the longer note on the clock and the table. Read it if this is the night.

What does not change

The list is the privacy. Your host invites friends. A plus-one does not get a link of their own. If you are not sure about someone, do not send them a link. Email says Your event, or a public-safe name. The real party name stays in the app. Group chat is for the time you start and the time you end. The street does not go there.

Only the host checks people in. A door code and a QR pass are for the list. Guests cannot check themselves in. A place name can show early so people can judge the drive. The street, the floor, and the door code wait until the host is ready. That is true in a house and on a hotel floor.

You agree to the house rules before you swipe. If the host edits the rules, you agree again. Message host is a private note. Guests do not message each other in a side thread. A test party lets the host walk it first. Test parties do not send email, push, or reminders. None of that depends on which of the three nights you picked.

For hosts

A plain way to choose

If you want one name and a room that looks up together, host a key party. If you want people to move and to see every mutual match at the door, host a play party. If you want them to sit and talk before they answer, host a speed date. Write that sentence in the invite. Do not offer all three and let the room vote in the group chat.

A first night should be the smallest honest version. Two or three other couples. One format. One end time. You can host the other nights later. The host hub is where the dashboard lives. The invitations guide is where the words live. This page is only the choice between the three.

If you are the guest, read the format before you pack. Decline early if it is the wrong night for the two of you. Do not arrive hoping the host will switch. If nobody has invited you, host the people you would actually let in. The city pages below are private lists in real places. They are not a menu of public doors.

The same choice in a real city

Atlanta, Denver, Miami, Chicago, and Las Vegas each have a page for a private list, not a club calendar. The format choice is the same in all of them. A key party in a house, a play party on a hotel floor, a speed date in a suite: the street still waits, and the reveal still follows the night you named.

Say the neighborhood in the first text so people can judge the drive. Keep the address until the list is finished. A downtown floor and a house across the river are different rides. They are not different formats. Do not let the view pick the night.

Search can find this page. It cannot find the porch. If you want a club with a posted door, use the club's own site. Pineapple Play Date is for the invited night, whichever of the three you picked.

FAQ

What is the difference between a key party, a play party, and a speed date?

A key party shows one Play Partner at the same time. A play party opens mutual matches at check-in. A speed date is short rounds, then yes or no as a couple. All mutual-yes matches are revealed.

Can one party be all three?

No. Pick one and name it in the invite. People should pack for the night they were told. You can host a different format another night.

Which night is easier for a first party?

A speed date, if people should sit before they answer. A play party, if the list already knows each other. A key party, if you want one shared reveal and the list is short.

Does the address rule change with the format?

No. The street stays hidden until the host sends it, on every format. A place name can show earlier so guests can judge the drive.

Who is on the list?

The host invites friends they'd love to have there. One private link per couple. A plus-one does not get a link of their own.

When are matches revealed?

All mutual-yes matches are revealed. Together at a key party, at check-in for a play party, and when the rounds end for a speed date.
