Play party rules and etiquette

A play party is still a party. The heat is a real yes. The app keeps that yes mutual, and it never shows a no as a no.

How a play party works

Yes is the invitation

You are in the room because a host invited you. There is no public guest pool to wander. Adult only. Private by design.

House rules come before the cards. You agree to them before you swipe. If the host edits the rules, you agree to the new version.

The cards are people

Each card is one photo and one name. Your own partner is never a card. A straight room swipes the other side. A bi-friendly or open room can show two people from another couple, still as two cards.

Yes or no stays on your phone. You can change it until the swipe deadline. A one-sided yes stays hidden.

Chat is the room

The group chat opens when you join, before anyone checks in. Talk with the people who were invited. There are no private messages.

Check in, or sit it out

Check-in opens on party day, after swipes lock. Each guest has a door code and a QR pass. Checking in is how your mutuals open.

Skipping check-in is a complete way to sit the night out. No explanation is ever needed.

See the play party

What opens at the door

You see your mutual matches, one person at a time. There is no room-wide Round 1. The key party is the signature night for that shared reveal. A play party keeps the matches personal.

FAQ

When do I see my matches?

At check-in. Each match is a mutual yes. A one-sided yes stays hidden.

What if I do not want to play?

Do not check in. That is a full way to sit the night out. Nobody is owed an explanation.

Are play party cards couples?

No. A Play Party card is one person, same as a Key Party. Couple cards are for Speed Date.
