When party chat disappears

The host picks how long a chat message stays. The reveal does not close the room.
The short answer
Party chat has a Messages disappear control: Off, 24 hours, or 7 days. Your host invites friends. The host invites friends they'd love to have there. One private link per couple. A message past that timer hides right away. The daily cleanup then deletes it.
Delete chat after the party is a separate switch. Once the calendar day in the party time zone is past the party date, that same daily cleanup can clear the whole chat. Reveal, extra rounds, and a speed date leave chat open.
Adult only. Private by design. You confirm you are 18 or older. The host still checks you in. A private no stays private.
Off, 24 hours, or 7 days
The clock starts when the message is sent, using the timer that is on at that moment. Off means the message has no expiry. 24 hours and 7 days set an end time. Anything else is refused. The app asks the host to choose off, 24 hours, or 7 days.
Hiding is immediate. A message whose time has passed, or one the host deleted, drops out of the chat before the cleanup runs. The daily cleanup is what removes those rows for good.
Only the host can change the timer, delete one message, or close chat. A co-host uses that same dashboard, so a co-host can change them too. Guests accept the invite before they can read or post.
After the party date, and close chat
Delete chat after the party does not wait on the 24 hour or 7 day timer. It waits until the party date has passed in the party time zone. Then the daily cleanup deletes every message in that chat, and it clears the typing rows too. Leave the switch off and that full clear does not run.
Close chat is different again. People can still read. They cannot post. The reason shown is that the host closed this chat. Reopen chat turns posting back on. A muted guest can read and cannot post. Someone removed from the chat cannot read it.
Message host is still a private note, not this room. Do not put a street number in the group chat. The address switch is separate, and this timer does not release it.
Chat is not the match
All mutual-yes matches are revealed by the format the host already chose. Chat staying open does not list who said yes or no. A one-sided yes stays hidden.
A key party shows one Play Partner at the same time, after the host starts the reveal. A play party keeps matches hidden until the host reveals them. A speed date is short rounds, then yes or no. None of those steps closes chat on its own.
FAQ
How long do party chat messages last?
The host picks Off, 24 hours, or 7 days. The clock starts when the message is sent. Past that time, the message hides right away, and the daily cleanup deletes it.

The host. A co-host on the dashboard can change it too. Guests accept the invite before they can use chat. A private no stays private, and chat does not list who said no.
When do matches show?
All mutual-yes matches are revealed by the format. A key party shows one Play Partner at the same time, after the host starts the reveal. A play party keeps matches hidden until the host reveals them. A speed date is short rounds, then yes or no.
