Phones at a lifestyle party

A phone at a lifestyle party is a camera whether you mean it or not. The host says where it goes. The short rule is: not in your hand.
The short answer
Put the phone face down, in a pocket, or in the bowl the host set out. No photos of faces, bodies, rooms, plates, or the street number. The group chat is not a photo album.
The host invites friends they'd love to have there. Those friends did not agree to be a picture. One private link per couple does not include a camera.
Adult only. Private by design. You confirm you are 18 or older. The host still checks you in.
Where the phone goes
Decide this before you walk in, so you are not negotiating it in the play room.
- Face down on a table the host named, or in a bowl by the door.
- A pocket is fine if the camera stays covered and you do not take it out.
- No photos of guests, bodies, bedrooms, or the front of the house.
- A parking photo happens outside, of the sign, with no face and no house number.
- Step outside if you need to text a sitter. Come back without the screen in the room.
The chat is still a record
The group chat is one room. A photo in that chat is a photo on other people's phones. Do not send one. Do not ask someone to send you one later.
Message host if you saw a phone up and you want the host to handle it. That note is private. Do not call the person out in the chat.
If you are the host, say the phone rule in the invite in your own voice. Repeat it at the door. You can ask a guest to put the phone away or to leave.
After you get home
Do not post the night. Do not keep a souvenir photo of the room. If a picture exists, delete it. Tell the host if it already went somewhere you cannot pull it back from.
A thank you to the host can be words. It does not need a picture of their hallway.
FAQ

Yes. Keep it in a pocket until you are outside. Do not open the camera in the room.

Use the bowl. That is the house rule for the night.

Are group chat photos allowed if everyone is dressed?
No. No photos of the guests or the room, dressed or not.
What if I already took one?
Delete it. Tell the host if anyone else received it.
