Pineapple Play Date

Adult only. Private by design.

How to message the host

A dressed couple at a kitchen table at night, one phone face down and a warm lamp.

Ask the host in a private note. Do not ask the room.

The short answer

Message host is a note only the host sees. Use it when the invite skips the format, the area, or the end time. Do not use it to learn who said yes, or to pass a flirt to someone else.

Your host invites friends. The host invites friends they'd love to have there. One private link per couple. The group chat is one room. There is no guest-to-guest thread.

Adult only. Private by design. You confirm you are 18 or older. The host still checks you in. A private no stays private.

When the note is the right move

Send it before you leave home if you cannot tell whether the night is a key party, a play party, or a speed date. Send it if the city is there and the area is not, so you can judge the drive. Send it if the end time is missing and you have a sitter or a flight.

Decline in that same note if the night is wrong for the two of you. Early is kinder than a no in the driveway. The host can fill the spot. You do not owe a speech.

A question about the house rules belongs there too: phones, the clothes-on room, whether the porch is in. Ask before you arrive, not from the sidewalk.

What the note is not for

Do not ask who said yes, who passed, or who is coming so you can decide from a list. A one-sided yes stays hidden. The host does not read that list out, in the room or in a note.

Do not ask for the street before the guest list is finished. The city and the area can come early. The house number waits. A pin in the group chat is an address, so do not ask the host to drop one there.

Do not ask the host to carry a message to another guest. That is a side conversation the host cannot host. If you want to talk to someone, you do it in the room, with the names you already agreed to use.

The note does not pick the night

All mutual-yes matches are revealed by the format the host already chose. A private note can ask which one. It does not turn one night into another.

A key party shows one Play Partner at the same time. A play party reveals matches at check-in. A speed date is short rounds, then yes or no. If the invite skipped that, Message host before you dress.

FAQ

Does the group chat see the note?

No. Message host is a private note. The group chat is one room. There is no guest-to-guest thread.

Can I ask who said yes?

No. A one-sided yes stays hidden. A private no stays private. You do not get that list, and you do not ask for it.

Can I ask for the street in the note?

Ask for the area if you need to judge the drive. The street waits until the host sends it. Do not ask them to put a pin in the group chat.

Is this the same as texting after the party?

No. That later text is a different choice, and it is not owed. This note is for a missing fact before you go.

Which night is it if the invite is vague?

Ask. All mutual-yes matches are revealed by the format. A key party shows one Play Partner at the same time. A play party reveals matches at check-in. A speed date is short rounds, then yes or no.
