How to take a break during a party

Step out of the room without ending the night.
The short answer
A break is a pause you name. Find your partner, move to the room that stays dressed, and say when you will be back. It is not a no, and it is not a goodbye.
Your host invites friends. The host invites friends they'd love to have there. One private link per couple. The host named the rooms. Use the one that was set aside for a pause.
Adult only. Private by design. You confirm you are 18 or older. The host still checks you in. A private no stays private.
Say the pause out loud
One sentence is enough. We are taking ten minutes in the kitchen. A shrug reads as a disappearance. The people you were with should not have to guess whether you are coming back.
If the host named a clothes-on room, that is the break room. Play does not follow you there. The porch, the balcony, and a hallway open to neighbors are not a break room. Public exposure is still a crime.
A break is not how you slow one match while staying in the same spot. If you want the night to go slower with the people in front of you, say that. If you want air, leave the room.
Find your partner first
Do not leave your partner in a room to notice later. Tell them before you move. If they want to stay, decide that together, then say so. A pause one of you did not hear about is how the night splits by accident.
If you disagree about whether to stop, say it to each other, not to the room. You can sit out while they stay, if that is what you both just agreed. You do not announce the argument.
Water, a coat, a minute of quiet. Then go back when you said you would, or tell them you are done for the night. A vague maybe later is how people wait in a hallway.
A break does not redo the reveal
All mutual-yes matches are revealed, whether that happens together, at check-in, or after the short rounds. Stepping out does not erase a match, and it does not create one.
A key party shows one Play Partner at the same time. A play party reveals matches at check-in. A speed date is short rounds, then yes or no. If you need the pause before the reveal, say so before the round starts. Message host if the timing is unclear. That note is private.
