Pineapple Play Date

Adult only. Private by design.

How to say you are running late

A dressed couple in a parked car at night, coats on, one phone face down.

A late note goes to the host. It does not go to the room.

The short answer

Message host as soon as you know. Say you are still coming, or say you are not. Name how late in plain words. Do not drop a pin, and do not ask the group chat to wait.

Your host invites friends. The host invites friends they'd love to have there. One private link per couple. A late couple is still that couple. It is not a reason to add someone from the curb.

Adult only. Private by design. You confirm you are 18 or older. The host still checks you in. A private no stays private.

How a host handles a no-show

Still coming, or not

If you are still coming, say so. The host can keep the door for you or tell you the night has started. A late arrival is their call. It is not a vote in the room.

If you are not coming, that note is a cancel. Send it before they hold a chair. Silence after a yes is how a host treats you as a no-show. A maybe that became a no is still a cancel.

Do not ask another guest to text the host for you. The note is yours. The host should not have to guess which couple is in the car.

What not to put in the chat

The group chat is one room. A pin is the street. "We are outside" in that thread names the door for everyone who can forward it. Send the delay to the host, not the list.

Do not ask who already said yes so you can decide whether the drive is worth it. A one-sided yes stays hidden. Being late does not open that list.

Do not ask the host to read your delay out loud. The people who arrived on time do not need your traffic story.

The night may already have started

All mutual-yes matches are revealed on the host's clock, not yours. Ask whether the door is still open. Do not assume the reveal waits in the driveway.

A key party shows one Play Partner at the same time, when the host starts it. A play party keeps matches hidden until the host reveals them, after someone is checked in. A speed date is short rounds, then yes or no. Missing the start does not make the host rerun it.
