Pineapple Play Date

Adult only. Private by design.

What telling the referrer does

A dressed couple by a dark window at night, a phone face down on the sill.

The email says an update is waiting. It does not name who was approved.

The short answer

Tell the referrer on approval is a switch in the host settings. Your host invites friends. The host invites friends they'd love to have there. One private link per couple. When the host approves someone a guest referred, that guest can get a short email.

The subject is Update for your event. The note says you have an update for the public-safe name, and to open the app to read it. If the public-safe name is blank, it says Your event. It does not name the person who was approved, and it does not use the real party name.

Adult only. Private by design. You confirm you are 18 or older. The host still checks you in. A private no stays private.

When the note sends

The note sends after an approval, and only if the switch is on. A decline does not send it. A hold does not send it. A test party does not send it.

It goes to the referrer's email on that seat. If that seat has no email, there is no note. Turning the switch off stops the note. The application can still be approved.

The same email shape is used for other discreet updates, such as a reminder. This switch is the referral case. It still does not name the approved guest.

What the note leaves alone

It does not add the new guest by itself. The host still approves or declines. It does not check anyone in, and it does not release the street.

It does not tell the room who referred whom. A private no stays private. The referrer opens the app to read the update.

A night in Atlanta can use the switch. Dallas can too. Those cities have their own pages. The email still uses the public-safe name, not the city page.

The note is not a match

All mutual-yes matches are revealed by the format the host already chose. This email does not list who said yes or no. A one-sided yes stays hidden.

A key party shows one Play Partner at the same time, after the host starts the reveal. A play party keeps matches hidden until the host reveals them. A speed date is short rounds, then yes or no.

FAQ

Does the email name the new guest?

No. It says an update is waiting for the public-safe name, or Your event if that name is blank. It does not name the person who was approved.

Does a decline send it?

No. The note sends after an approval, and only when the switch is on. A test party does not send it.

Does it use the real party name?

No. It uses the public-safe name. Leave that blank and the note says Your event.

Can the host still approve with the switch off?

Yes. The switch only controls the email. Approval is still the host's decision.

When do matches show?

All mutual-yes matches are revealed by the format. A key party shows one Play Partner at the same time, after the host starts the reveal. A play party keeps matches hidden until the host reveals them. A speed date is short rounds, then yes or no.
