What pausing a speed date round does
The button holds the clock. The round stays where it is.
The short answer
Pause is a button while a speed date round is running. Your host invites friends. The host invites friends they'd love to have there. One private link per couple. The note says the timer stops until you resume. The time left is kept.
Resume is the button while that round is paused. The note says the timer continues from where it stopped. On a guest phone the heading says the round is paused, and that the clock starts again when the host resumes.
Adult only. Private by design. You confirm you are 18 or older. The host still checks you in. A private no stays private.
What stays put
Pause does not open yes or no. Yes or no still waits until the round ends. It does not start the next round, and it does not end the speed date. The table they are at stays the same.
If there is nothing to pause, the action is refused. If you resume when the round is not paused, the app says the speed date is not paused.
A key party does not show Pause. A play party does not show it. The button is on a speed date, including one linked to a key party. A linked speed date still does not reveal matches here.
What Pause is not
This is not Add 2 minutes. That button gives the current round two more minutes. Pause only holds the time that is already left.
This is not End this round. Ending the round opens yes or no. Pause keeps the round going, with the clock stopped.
A co-host can press it from the dashboard. They still cannot delete the party or remove the original host. A night in Sacramento can use the button. Raleigh can too. Those cities have their own pages. The clock still lives on the party.
A paused round is not a reveal
All mutual-yes matches are revealed by the format the host already chose. Pausing a round does not reveal them. A one-sided yes stays hidden.
A key party shows one Play Partner at the same time, after the host starts the reveal. A play party keeps matches hidden until the host reveals them. A speed date is short rounds, then yes or no.
