What leaving with a match means

A dressed couple at a front door at night, coats on, a warm lamp inside.

The host's room is the room that was named.

The short answer

A match at the party is a match in the room the host named. Leaving with that match, for another address, is a new plan. It is not the next automatic step, and the host does not publish it.

Your host invites friends. The host invites friends they'd love to have there. One private link per couple. That link ends at their door. It does not follow you to a second door.

Adult only. Private by design. You confirm you are 18 or older. The host still checks you in. A private no stays private.

What to say on the ride home from a party

When partners disagree at a party

Both couples, both people

Four people have to want the new plan, or however many are actually in the match. You do not decide it in a hallway whisper your partner cannot hear. If you cannot say it in front of them, you are not leaving.

A one-sided yes stays hidden. That includes a yes to leave. You do not collect it on a phone, and you do not ask the host to pass it. Say it where the people involved can answer.

The host is not required to know the next street, and you should not ask them to text one they do not control. Thank them, say you are going, and go. Their guest list does not travel with you.

This is not the ride home

The ride home is the drive back to your own place, with the person you came with. Leaving with a match is a different car and a different address. If you are not sure which one you mean, stay, or leave as the couple who arrived.

Do not leave a partner in the host's living room to piece it together. If one of you wants to go and the other does not, you have not agreed. Stay on the plan you came with.

The next porch is still a porch. Public exposure is still a crime. A new address does not make a sidewalk, a hotel lobby, or a shared hall into a private room.

The match is still the match you made

All mutual-yes matches are revealed by the format, in the host's room. Leaving does not create a second reveal, and it does not undo a no.

A key party shows one Play Partner at the same time. A play party reveals matches at check-in. A speed date is short rounds, then yes or no. None of those is a plan to change houses. If you want that plan, you make it out loud, with everyone it includes.
