What a host nudge does

A dressed couple in a doorway at night, a warm lamp in the room.

The button sends one private note. It does not finish the cards.

The short answer

Nudge is a button on the list of guests who are not finished. Your host invites friends. The host invites friends they'd love to have there. One private link per couple. The list can say they have not joined, have cards left, need more yes answers, or have not finished a profile.

The button says Nudge. After it sends, it says Nudged. The same guest cannot be nudged again inside an hour. The app says you already nudged them this hour. Once answers are locked, the button does not send.

Adult only. Private by design. You confirm you are 18 or older. The host still checks you in. A private no stays private.

How to message the host

Swinger party in Boston

Swinger party in Miami

Where the note lands

The note goes to that couple's private host thread. It does not go in the group chat. It uses their name and asks them to finish their cards so they are in the match. It says answers close soon.

If the phone has push, that alert says an update is waiting. It uses the public-safe name, or Your event if that name is blank. A test party does not send the push. The thread still shows in the app.

A co-host can press the button from the same dashboard. The note is still sent in the host's name. A co-host still cannot delete the party or remove the original host.

What the nudge leaves alone

It does not answer a card. It does not change a yes or a no. A guest who has not finished is left out of the match, and so is their partner. The nudge is the reminder, not the exception.

A speed date does not show this list. A key party and a play party do.

A night in Boston can use the button. Miami can too. Those cities have their own pages. The note still lives on that party's host thread.

The nudge is not the reveal

All mutual-yes matches are revealed by the format the host already chose. A nudge does not open that reveal. A one-sided yes stays hidden.

A key party shows one Play Partner at the same time, after the host starts the reveal. A play party keeps matches hidden until the host reveals them. A speed date is short rounds, then yes or no.

FAQ

Does a nudge answer the cards?

No. It asks them to finish. The guest still answers every card.

Can the host send it twice in a row?

Not inside an hour. The app says you already nudged them this hour. After that hour, the button can send again.

Does the room see the note?

No. It goes to that couple's private host thread. The group chat does not get it.

Can a co-host press it?

Yes. A co-host can use the dashboard. The note is sent in the host's name. They still cannot delete the party or remove the original host.

When do matches show?

All mutual-yes matches are revealed by the format. A key party shows one Play Partner at the same time, after the host starts the reveal. A play party keeps matches hidden until the host reveals them. A speed date is short rounds, then yes or no.
