When you do not match anyone at a party

No mutual yes is a finished result. You do not owe the room another round.
The short answer
You can go home with no match. That is not a failed night. A one-sided yes stays hidden, so you do not get a list of people who passed, and you do not ask the room for one.
Your host invites friends. The host invites friends they'd love to have there. One private link per couple. The night is that list, not a promise that every couple will match.
Adult only. Private by design. You confirm you are 18 or older. The host still checks you in. A private no stays private.
What you are allowed to know
All mutual-yes matches are revealed, whether that happens together, at check-in, or after the short rounds. If none of yours are mutual, there is nothing to reveal. Do not ask the host who said yes to you. Do not ask another guest.
A key party shows one Play Partner at the same time. If that yes is not mutual, you do not get a second name in the living room. A play party reveals matches at check-in. A speed date is short rounds, then yes or no. None of those formats owes you a backup match.
Stay, or go
Staying is for the people and the conversation. It is not a campaign to change a no. If you want to watch, say that. If you want to leave, tell your partner and tell the host you are heading out. You do not owe a reason.
If one of you matched and the other did not, that is a talk between the two of you, not a talk for the couch. Decide together whether you stay in the clothes-on part of the house or leave.
What the host should do
Do not announce who matched and who did not. Do not offer to "fix" a no by introducing someone. A private no stays private even when the host can see the list.
If a couple looks stuck, a simple check is enough: they can stay and talk, or they can leave. Then go back to the door. The night does not restart because one couple had no match.
FAQ
Does no match mean we did something wrong?
No. It means there was no mutual yes. That is a complete result.
Can the host tell us who said yes?
No. A one-sided yes stays hidden. A private no stays private. Do not ask, and the host should not answer.
Do we have to stay until the end?
No. Tell your partner, tell the host you are leaving, and go. You do not owe a reason.
What if only one of us matched?
Talk to each other, not to the room. Stay in the clothes-on part of the house, or leave together. Do not hunt for a second match.
Is watching still allowed if we did not match?
Only if the house rules already allow watching, and only where the host said. No match is not a pass into a closed room.
Should we text someone later to ask why?
No. A no does not come with an explanation. A later night is a new invite, if the host sends one.
